From his studio in the Texas Hill Country, Italian contemporary artist Benini creates paintings with brilliant colors and dancing illusions of dimensionality. Using acrylics, he blends many layers by brush, creating pieces that appear three-dimensional, executed on canvas stretched over flat aluminum shaped to the contour of the composition. In his three-dimensional pieces, small to grand scale, he assembles wood, stone, marble and other materials.
